Part of the Ziegler collection, this traditional hand-knotted rug is crafted from 100% hand-spun wool in Pakistan. A soft slate blue field serves as the backdrop for an intricate arrangement of palmettes, scrolling floral vines, and botanical motifs. These decorative elements are rendered in warm beige, ivory, rust, and muted gold, surrounded by a wide, detailed beige border. The thin wool pile provides a refined texture and a supple low profile underfoot.
At 350 cm x 253 cm, this large rectangular rug is proportioned to ground expansive seating arrangements in a living room or sit beneath an eight- to ten-seat dining table.
