Exactly as pictured color as well. It is a full couple inches high. Feels great under foot but probably wouldn't work around doors.

I didn't expect the felt balls would be so large in size as I've seen similar rugs with balls less than half the size but that's ok because I bought it so my grand daughters have a clean area to play on. The felt balls are great for them to learn to crawl on .. Also they love to reach out to the different colours encouraging to crawl.
