Part of the Ziegler collection, this grand 457 cm x 369 cm rectangular rug is hand-knotted from pure wool in Afghanistan. The traditional design displays an all-over composition of palmettes, scrolling vines, and floral rosettes framed by a layered decorative border. Soft tones define the palette, pairing a warm beige and cream background with subtle accents of tan, soft brown, and muted slate blue. The medium wool pile provides a dense, comfortable surface with natural texture and subtle tonal variations characteristic of hand-spun yarn.
