Soft. Bought low pile for sons college bedroom. Didn't want super thick as cleaning is an issue in dorms. This will fit the bill perfect. Better than indoor/outdoor rug but still easy care and low pile. Colors are muted and soft like picture.

Rug is as pictured it is a bit thinner than I realized definitely needs a pad underneath
