Espresso / The Bo’z

Ethan, who is the brother of Toby Foreman- founder of HÆRFEST COFFEE, was the original inspiration in 1998 for creating HÆRFEST. Ethan had a learning disability, as well as aphasia, and an endocrinology disorder. He lived his life to show that anything is possible, to treat everyone with kindness, and to include everyone. Ethan was silly and funny, enjoyed John Wayne movies, and was a Los Angeles Charger fan. Ethan knew of Toby’s dream to form HÆRFEST, to create jobs for those like him with a disability, however he passed away in 2015 three years before they opened their doors. His life will always remain a source of strength as they navigate their business.

Ethan’s artwork and representational Espresso blend is named The Bo’z, a play on the name of Boaz from the book of Ruth. Just as Boaz left part of the harvest behind for Ruth and those in need to glean from, Toby felt a conviction in 1998 with his brother working alongside him at Diedrich Coffee in Irvine, CA, to use the HÆRFEST (pronounced harvest) of coffee to make a difference in the lives of those with a disability, just as it had for his brother.

The Bo’z, which is an award winning espresso- boasts a toasty aroma, balanced finish, and has nutty, cane molasses, and dark chocolate tasting notes.
