Into My Thoughts
Dale, who is an old soul, has an eye for color and loves to express himself with whimsical paintings. This particular painting was selected for its beautiful use of color and spacing, but more importantly the spirit of Dale that illuminated as he shared about it. He has a light about him that warms you and makes you want to, well, literally brew a pot of coffee and just sit with him awhile sharing life together. One of the things he will tell you is about his love for art of all types. Dale lives life slow and methodically, an example we could all learn from. Dale, now 63, was diagnosed as a toddler with a Moderate Intellectual and Developmental Disability.
Dale’s artwork, Into My Thoughts, was selected to visually represent a light roasted coffee on a sensory level. Delicate in flavor and lighter in color than a medium or dark roast. A light roast represented with the colors in Dale’s art would present with a thinner body and sweet aroma, fruity or herbal tasting notes, and provide a higher level of acidity and caffeine.
