Pros: The rug arrived without the strong chemical or musty odor that some natural fiber rugs have, which was a pleasant surprise. It sheds very little compared to other jute rugs I’ve owned, and the canvas backing does a great job keeping it in place without sliding around. The rug feels high quality, with a tight, durable weave that gives it a substantial feel. Cons: Because of the handmade braided construction, the edges have some waviness and are not perfectly straight. Also, the color appears warmer and more orange-toned in person than it does in the website photos. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-made rug with only minor imperfections that come with its handcrafted design. I would purchase it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality jute runner.
